United Way of McHenry offers Volunteer Mangement Training

Registration is now open for the two-day Volunteer Management Training, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 17 and Friday, Jan. 18.

This workshop is offered by United Way of Greater McHenry County Volunteer Center. It will be held at United Way of Greater McHenry County, 4508 Prime Parkway, McHenry.

Check-in and networking will be held from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Thursday and the event will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and finish at 4 p.m. On Friday, training will be from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration for this training is required.

Whether you are managing volunteers for a nonprofit organization, church, or civic group or leading service projects in the community, this training will be beneficial to you. It is designed to equip participants with tools and skills needed to increase the impact of a volunteer force, and it is based upon the nationally recognized Betty Stallings Training Series. Seasoned volunteer managers, as well as beginners, will benefit from this interactive and effective training program. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the conclusion of the training.

Registration can be completed online at volunteermchenrycounty.org. Early bird registration is $140 for Volunteer Center members and $160 for nonmembers until Monday, Dec. 31.

After that, the registration fee is $160 for members and $180 for nonmembers. Continental breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee for both training days.
