The Suburbs This Weekend: Mozart, bees, vocalists and witchcraft

From Mozart to bees, from bells, books and candles to vocalist Nellie McKay, Sean Stangland and Richard Battin have a variety of events they selected for The Suburbs This Weekend.

Sean recommends a viewing of the 1984 Academy Award winning “Amadeus,” at the York Theatre in Elmhurst Sunday, Feb. 12, as well as vocalist Nellie McKay, performing at Elgin Community College Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10 and 11.

Richard suggests taking the kids to a Meet the Beekeepers program Sunday, Feb. 12 at Kline Creek Farm in West Chicago and leaving the kids home for a Paradise Playhouse production of the play, “Bell, Book and Candle” starting Friday, Feb. 10 at the Oak Park theater. The witchcraft-oriented comedy was popularized in the 1958 Columbia Pictures film starring James Stewart, Kim Novak and Jack Lemmon.
