Lake Co. YMCA opens Club Y for youth in Vernon Hills
A new program designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle will soon be available to Lake County youth ages 7 and up. Club Y “opens its doors” at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, on Feb. 28.
Participants will enjoy activities such as Wii Fit, Xbox Kinect, air hockey, board games, foosball and more. There also will be several theme nights throughout the year. Club Y will convene Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. While the program is offered free of charge to members of the Y, there is a charge of $5 per child per visit for community members.
All Lake County Family YMCA programs are designed to encourage the four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. For information about Club Y or other program offerings, call (847) 367-6797 or visit www.ymcalakecounty.org.
