Oakton receives $10,000 grant for health care equipment
Oakton Community College is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Rice Foundation to help underwrite the purchase of software and a medication dispenser station that will enhance learning for students enrolled in the pharmaceutical preparation, pharmacy technician and nursing programs.
The software will provide hospital-like simulation used in labs, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
The medication dispenser station familiarizes students with the technology used in medical laboratories, pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals.
