Hampshire d. Genoa-Kingston: Alyssa Kissasne had 10 kills and Tia Incapreo 16 digs Thursday as Hampshire's girls volleyball team overcame G-K 25-10, 14-25, 25-16 in a Big Northern crossover match. Leigh-Anne Libby added 24 assists and 5 aces for the Whip-Purs (3-5).
"It was a good game," said Hampshire coach Karen Whitehouse. "I give G-K a lot of credit because they are a scrappy team."
Jacobs d. Bartlett: Alyssa Ehrhardt had 8 kills and Taylor Lesner added six as Jacobs downed Bartlett 25-19, 25-22 in a nonconference match. Quinn Luehring had 18 assists for the Golden Eagles. Lauren Hartford had 9 kills and Jacki Gulczynski had five to lead the Hawks (4-6-1). Hartford also had 10 digs, as did Tori Burke, with Lauren Caruba adding nine and Gulczynski eight.
Waubonsie Valley d. Streamwood: Alyson Montmayor had 5 assists and Liz Simonelli 4 digs for Streamwood in a 25-16, 25-9 Upstate Eight crossover loss to Waubonsie.
Huntley d. South Elgin: Sam Boesch had 11 kills, Ashley Smith added six and Kadie Lowery had five as Huntley (8-1) topped South Elgin 25-14, 25-5 in nonconference action. Eli Manning had 15 assists for Huntley and Nicole Levra added 10. Boesch also had 9 digs. Becca Smith had 2 kills to lead South Elgin (4-4-1).
Burlington Central d. Byron: Audi Djukic had 6 kills and 2 aces and Sam Bohne 17 digs to lead the Rockets (4-5) to a 22-25, 25-17, 25-16 Big Northern crossover win. Haley Brake served 10 points and Brenda Thasavong had 5 blocks and 3 kills for BC, while Stephanie Sipinski added 10 digs.
