MCC to offer classes about aromatherapy
McHenry County College will offer two aromatherapy classes, including Introduction to Essential Oils and Energetic Aromatherapy, which aim to enhance the body, mind and spirit of individuals.
Introduction to Essential Oils: Aromatherapy has been around since man has walked the earth. Using essential oils from plants, flowers, seeds, and tree bark, it's has been practiced regularly in the east and has gained momentum in the west. Learn how to select the appropriate essential oil for yourself and your clients and learn a variety of techniques for utilizing essential oils in your daily life. Aromatherapy should be used as a complement to allopathic medicine not as a replacement. Class takes place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, and from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, at MCC in Room A117. Cost is $375 with an additional student material fee of $125.
Energetic Aromatherapy: In this new, three-day course, participants will learn how to work with essential oils in the human body field to shift the field into harmony and balance. Several energy techniques will be taught that require the use of essential oils. Class takes place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, and from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, in Room A117. Cost is $375 with an additional student material fee of $125.
