The Lake County Community Foundation Announces New Board Members

Waukegan, IL - November 15, 2016 - The Lake County Community Foundation announced today the addition of two dedicated Lake County leaders - Gale Strenger Wayne and Steve Sullivan - to the Board of Directors.

Strenger Wayne, a resident of Lake Bluff, whose career has spanned public relations, finance and real estate, has a strong leadership track record and commitment to civic service. Having been elected and served as Shields Township supervisor, Strenger Wayne helped start the Shields Township Food Pantry, is a sustaining member on the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Women's Auxiliary Board and has served as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest.

Steve Sullivan is Vice President of the Industrial Services Group at NAI Hiffman, a commercial real estate firm. Steve's civic service includes roles on the Governing Board of The Noble Network of Charter Schools and chair of its Summer of a Lifetime college-readiness program. In addition, he serves as Board Chair of Skin Of Steel, a Glenview-based nonprofit that is currently raising support to build a national melanoma tissue bank. A Winnetka resident, Sullivan previously served as a board member of PADS Lake County and the Winnetka Parks Foundation.

"The Foundation is excited to have two exceptional business and civic leaders from the region join our board," said executive director Miah Armour. "As a fifth generation resident of the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff area, Gale brings a deep understanding of Lake County's history, people and the local political and nonprofit landscape. Steve has traveled every inch of Lake County in his commercial real estate work. He'll help build awareness of the needs across Lake County and deepen connections between our region's business owners and the Foundation's work."
