Heritage Prairie Farm announces summer CSA expansion

Due to the fruitful success of last year's Community Supported Agriculture program, Heritage Prairie Farm is proud to announce an expansion to their 2017 CSA membership. If you missed out on their completely USDA Certified Organic CSA last year, then this is the year to join.

What can Heritage Prairie Farm CSA members expect?

Known for an abundance of vegetables, Heritage Prairie Farm's CSA offers community members the opportunity to buy fresh, local, organic, and seasonal produce directly from their farm by purchasing a "share" in the farm.

For 18 weeks beginning in June, Summer CSA Members will enjoy a box full of seasonal, organic vegetables. Summer seasonal crops may include eggplant, summer squash, kale, cherry and heritage tomatoes, basil, head lettuce, scallions, cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, and peppers.

There are two types of summer CSA programs - half and full membership. Both half and full summer CSA Shares feature weekly pick-up locations at the Heritage Prairie Farm Store in Elburn, and at the Wheaton French Market. Members can also add on an egg share which includes a dozen eggs with your regular CSA pick-up.

As a Heritage Prairie Farm CSA member, you will not only receive USDA Certified Organic produce weekly, but your membership also includes 10 percent off monthly farm dinners, special CSA recipes, and weekly email newsletters.
