MCC art exhibit 'Summer Break' continues at Woodstock Courthouse gallery

McHenry County College will host a student artwork show, "Summer Break" at the Woodstock Courthouse Satellite Gallery, 101 N. Johnson Street in Woodstock, through Aug. 18. The exhibition will feature recent work from students including painting, drawing, photography, ceramics and jewelry.

"Throughout the academic year, art students have been learning new skills, working through ideas and developing their work," said Matt Irie, MCC art department chair. 'Summer Break' celebrates the progress MCC art students have made. Summer is a time when students and faculty alike focus on art making and prepare to come back to the fast-paced studio environment where creativity and critique develop and stretch artists."

This is MCC's sixth show at Satellite Gallery in the Old Woodstock Courthouse that is part of a partnership with The Northwest Area Arts Council.
