MCC to present 50th anniversary documentary in Woodstock

McHenry County College invites the community to an exclusive showing of their 50th anniversary documentary, "Changing Lives: McHenry County College at 50," at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Woodstock Theater, 209 Main St. on the Woodstock Square.

MCC's own 30-minute documentary featuring local history, anecdotes, stories and archived footage and photos of students, staff and community members celebrating the first half-century of McHenry County College.

"We invite area residents to come see how MCC was formed, transformed, changed - and changed lives over the last 50 years," said MCC film instructor Jim Stockwell, who directed the documentary.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations of individually-wrapped snacks for the MCC Student Veterans Resource Center will be accepted.

A post-viewing discussion will take place from 7:30 to 8 p.m. for anyone who is interested.

Visit the MCC table to pick up a complementary ticket which will include a coupon for the Sweet Scots Bakery at MCC.
