Karbonadekaker
1 onion, sliced in thin rings
1 tablespoon butter
¾ pound ground round
2 teaspoons potato flour
¾ teaspoons salt
Black pepper
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons cold milk
2 slices bread
Lettuce
Pickled beets
Chopped or torn parsley
Saute onions in butter until golden and glossy; remove and keep warm.
In a food processor, mix meat, flour, salt, pepper, nutmeg and milk.
Form 4 round patties, place in a hot frying pan and flatten with a fork. Brown patties for a few minutes on each side.
To serve: Place lettuce on each slice of bread; top with patties. Serve open-faced, garnished with fried onions, beets and parsley.
