Current Hubble students sign beam going up in new school

Everybody dreams of leaving their mark on the world. Students at Hubble Middle School now are living the dream.

With a brand new $58 million dollar school under construction, students at the current school - which is located in downtown Wheaton - decided to make a permanent impression.

They recently used bright white markers to sign their names on a shiny black beam that will be installed in the new Warrenville building.

The beam is going backstage in the school's auditorium area, and it's not clear whether it'll be visible or buried behind walls or ceilings, said Wheaton Warrenville Unit District 200 spokesman Bob Rammer.

It seems students who show up next August when the school is set to open will have something to look forward to: finding the beam.
