McHenry County Legionnaires: McHenry County Legionnaires from all county posts are invited to attend the monthly meeting of the McHenry County Council at 7:30 p.m. March 27 at American Legion McHenry Post 491 at 1331 N. Riverside Drive in McHenry.
The host post is American Legion McHenry Post 451.

Fox Chapter Needlepoint Guild: Club will hold its annual luncheon and exhibit April 5 at Crystal Lake Country Club. Cocktails are at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is at noon.
After the luncheon, new officers will be installed. There also will be a display and discussion of projects for the following year. Each year members work on these projects and earn incentive pins, which will be handed out at the luncheon.
This is the guild's 26th year and now has more than 50 members.
Meetings are held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, except December and April, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin.
The guild also has gone on mystery us trips, retreats, stitch-ins and some members attend the National ANG seminar each year.
This is a nonprofit learning and sharing organization of novice, intermediate and advanced needlepoint stitchers.
The group is interested in and dedicated to promoting the art of needlepoint through the study of history, uses and forms and to encourage creativity in adapting its form to modern usage.

Mothers & More: Mothers and More: The eighth annual Spring Mothers & More KidStuff Resale will be held from 8 a.m. to noon April 5 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 S. McHenry Ave. at McHenry and Dartmoor, near Crystal Lake South High School, Crystal Lake.
The sale features more than 16,000 items from more than 130 sellers of gently used spring and summer children's clothing, toys and equipment at great prices. Admission fee of $1 per adult shopper or equivalent food pantry item will be donated to the food pantries. Food pantry patrons will be admitted free.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the Algonquin/LITH and Cary Grove Food Pantries plus support Mothers & More's activities and other outreach projects.
• Mothers & More of McHenry County welcomes you to join in the Open House event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 21 at the Algonquin Public Library. The library is at 2600 Harnish Drive in Algonquin behind Target off of Randall Road.
This group provides a wide array of monthly programs to support the many interests and needs of mothers as individuals. Women share experiences and develop friendships through social, informational and outreach programs, as well as events that include their children/families.
Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers. We support mothers as individuals and promote the value of all of the work that mothers do.

Family Services: On April 10, Michelle Durpetti, MSW, LCSW, with AdvantageEAP and coordinator of EAP Services at Family Service, will discuss procedures for using an EAP including voluntary and mandatory referrals. She also will share the do's and don'ts for HR representatives (and supervisors) and provide information to increase your awareness of possible alcohol/drugs effects in the workplace.
The breakfast meeting begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. and adjourns at 9:45 a.m. at the Family Service and Community Mental Health Center, 4100 Veterans Parkway in McHenry. Cost to members is $15; nonmembers is $25, payable at the door.
