Adults can sign up for classes at MCC

Registration for Winter/Spring 2008 free Adult Education classes, including Reading, General Education Development and English as a Second Language, continues from 8 to 10 a.m. or 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at McHenry County College, Building A, Room A362.

MCC's Adult Education classes are held on campus in Crystal Lake, as well as Woodstock, McHenry, Marengo, Harvard, Cary and Lake in the Hills. Schedules of classes will be available at registration, or by calling (815) 455-8752.

A program orientation will be held at the time of registration. Instructors and staff will welcome the new students and help them complete forms and assess needs.

Students should arrive promptly at the start time, as it takes between two and three hours to complete the registration and review class information.

Classes meet two days per week on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Exact class starting dates will be given out at registration.

Approximately $133,957 of the Illinois Adult Education and Literacy Program cost at 17 percent is federally funded under Title II, Adult Education and Family Literacy of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
