Teams and runners to watch: Prospect will be looking to continue its momentum after capturing its first ever Mid-Suburban League title. The Knights ascended to top spot in Illinois Cross Country coaches poll with its victory. Freshman Brooke Wolfe and senior Annette White power Prospect. No. 3 Schaumburg finished third in the MSL behind juniors Britten Petrey and Colette Falsey, who took second and third individually. Sophomore Haley Goers (eighth in MSL) powered a short-handed Hoffman Estates team to fourth in conference. Christina Gastfield will lead Rolling Meadows. Maine West, Elk Grove, and Conant are also in the field.
Palatine regional

When: 10 a.m Saturday
Teams and runners to watch: No. 2 Palatine will be looking to get back on track after finishing second in the MSL. Juniors Sarah McIntosh and Courtney Brown power the Pirates. Barrington took fifth in the MSL and is led by freshman Rebecca Batliner. Junior Salena Clohisy will pace Hersey. MSL champion Olivia Jones will be looking to continue her surge for Buffalo Grove. Fremd and Wheeling are also competing.

Teams and runners to watch: Senior Marta Korpacz finished fourth in the West Suburban Gold and will lead Leyden.

Teams and runners to watch: Hanna Winter has had an explosive first season. Last week, the St. Viator freshman finished second at the East Suburban Catholic Conference meet, helping to lead the Lions to third place.
