Naperville's St. Thomas the Apostle sets Christmas week Mass schedule

All are welcome to celebrate Christmas with Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville. The week's schedule, concluding with Masses on Jan. 1, is:

For the fourth Sunday of Advent Dec. 24, Mass will be celebrated at 8 and 9:30 a.m. No Mass will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. or at 6 p.m.

On Christmas Eve, the 4 p.m. Mass will be celebrating the solemnity of the nativity of the Lord. It will be held in the church and in the gym. Mass in the church will include the children's dramatized proclamation of the Gospel. Mass in the church will be livestreamed.

It will be followed by 7 p.m. Mass in the church. At 9:30 p.m., there will be a choir concert of Christmas hymns in the church. The 10:30 p.m. Mass will be held in the church and live-streamed.

On Monday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day, there will be 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Mass in the church.

On Tuesday to Friday, Dec. 26-29, the 8:30 a.m. regularly scheduled daily Mass will be held in the chapel.

On Saturday, Dec. 30, for the Feast of the Holy Family, Mass will be at 4:30 p.m. in the church. A blessing of adoptive families will be held afterward. Mass will be live-streamed.

On Sunday, Dec. 31, there will be Mass at 8 , 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. in the church. Note: No Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m.

On Monday, Jan. 1, Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, there will be a 8:30 a.m. Mass in the chapel. This is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year.

Starting Jan. 2, St. Thomas will resume its regular weekly Mass schedule: 8:30 a.m. Monday to Friday in the chapel; 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel, and 4:30 p.m. in the church; and 8 , 9:30 and 11:15 a.m., and 6 p.m. Sunday in the church
