Wheaton's Gary UMC offers new 11 a.m. worship

A team of volunteers has worked for the past several months to design a worship hour that expands and diversifies the ways to gather to praise God at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton.

The hour has a casual atmosphere and features church musicians to lead in familiar hymns and new songs.

Congregants at 11 a.m. will celebrate Holy Communion every other week. Together with the 9 a.m. worship hour, this new 11 a.m. experience aspires to help Gary Church fulfill its mission through Christ to grow in joyful faith and serve all in love.

Gary United Methodist Church offers 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday worship in the sanctuary. The 9 a.m. worship is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at The 11 a.m. worship has a more casual feel featuring church musicians. Sunday school for all ages starts at 10 a.m., plus you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend." With deep roots in the community since 1853, Gary Church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions.
