ABT Electronics host Pizza Cook-Off competition for charity Sunday, July 23, hosted by Steve Dolinsky

Abt Electronics Pizza Cook-Off for charity hosted by "The Food Guy" Steve Dolinsky on Sunday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1200 N. Milwaukee, in Glenview.

Abt Electronics (1200 N. Milwaukee, Glenview) is kicking the summer into high gear with its first-ever pizza cook-off for charity hosted by "The Food Guy" Steve Dolinsky. On July 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, three chefs from some of Chicago's top pizza restaurants will compete for a chance to win a donation to their charity of choice on behalf of the Abt Family Foundation.

Chef Jesse Harris from Giordano's, chef Leo Spizzirri of GIA MIA and chef/owner George Bumbaris of George's Deep Dish will throw down the gauntlet using pizza ovens from Alfa and showcase their signature pizzas for a great cause.

The judging panel comprised of local food experts and influencers Seth Marcus (@chicityfoodie), Josh Carmichael (@siblingsthateat) and Jamila Ghosheh (@jamilaeats) will crown the winning chef, who will win a $2,000 donation towards their charity. In addition, guests are invited to vote on their favorite pizza for the "People's Choice"and runner-up, both of whom will also receive $1,500 and $1,000 donation for their chosen cause.

The competition will be hosted outdoors in Abt's parking lot and will be open to the public. Tickets are priced at $10 and can be purchased at www.abt.com/help/events.

Guests will enjoy samples of each chef's pizza and will also be entered into a drawing for a giveaway of the Alfa pizza oven (retails at $3,899) as well a JBL Party Speaker (retails at $1,299.95). Alfa will also be offering the pizza oven at a discounted price for guests.
