Wheaton's Gary UMC to offer special Holy Week worship

Throughout Holy Week and Easter, Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will offer in-person and livestreaming options for special worship.

Holy Week will begin with the Rev. Chris Pierson on Palm Sunday, April 2, with worship at 9 and 11 a.m.

The Service of Preparation with the Rev. JoAnne Chase will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4. Maundy Thursday worship will be held at 7 p.m. April 6 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1753 S. Blanchard St. in Wheaton.

The Rev. Brian Felker Jones will lead the Good Friday worship at 7 p.m. April 7.

On Easter Sunday, April 9, Rev. Pierson will lead worship at 9 and 11 a.m.

The Holy Week services at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. also will be livestreamed and recorded at garychurch.org.

On Easter, Gary Church will host an Easter egg hunt in Memorial Park, 225 Karlskoga, at 10:15 a.m.

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., offers 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday services in the sanctuary.

The 9 a.m. service is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org. The 11 a.m. Service of Word & Sacrament is an intimate and informal service. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend" and Sunday school for all ages.
