Re-Deck the Halls Sale returns Nov. 18-19 at Elmhurst church

It's once again time to Re-Deck the Halls with treasures from holidays past.

Bethel United Church of Christ invites you to stretch your holiday shopping budget by purchasing items for your holiday decor or unique gifts at inexpensive prices.

A sale of gently used holiday decorations, collectibles and gifts will be held Nov. 18-19 in the Fireside Room of the Bethel UCC Administration Center, 316 E. Huntington Lane, Elmhurst.

Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Masks are recommended; cash sales only.

Proceeds from the sale help support the Bethel Shoe Fund and other local organizations.

The Bethel Shoe Fund was established in 1971 by Church Women United in response to a study of family needs in the Elmhurst community. Women's groups from local churches contributed to the fund which has been managed since its inception by the Women of Bethel, Bethel United Church of Christ. Currently, financial support comes from Women of Bethel fundraising efforts along with generous donations from the Rotary Club of Elmhurst, Bethel members and several area churches.

Students who qualify for assistance from the Shoe Fund live in Elmhurst or attend an Elmhurst Unit District 205 school or the Transition Center. They are identified through school social workers or referrals from the Elmhurst Walk-in Assistance Network.
