Suburban libraries partner to offer business writing workshop

A free workshop on effective business writing is the latest offering of the Lake Cook Career Collaborative, a partnership among local public libraries to provide local residents with free access to high quality career development resources.

"Improve Your Business Writing" will take place online on Saturday, November 5, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. The class is free and open to anyone; no library card is required. Sign up at http://CareerCollab.org/ to receive the Zoom link.

Professionals who can write well are highly valued by organizations of all kinds. In this 90-minute session, participants will learn techniques that motivate others to read, understand, enjoy and agree with your written messages.

The workshop is led by College of Lake County career coach Michael Sugarman. Sugarman has designed and developed more than 40 employee development workshops and has personally conducted more than 3,000 days of training for individuals and companies throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Other upcoming programs offered by the group include:

* "Time Management for the Business Professional" on Wednesday, November 16, at Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling

* "LinkedIn & Job Site Tips" on Wednesday, December 14, on Zoom

All programs are free and open to anyone. No library card is required. Visit http://CareerCollab.org/ for details and to sign up.
