Innovative Orthodontic Centers launches scholarship program for high school seniors and graduates
The first year of college is an exciting time of learning and growing. And it's no surprise that some financial help frees students up that much more to focus on their studies. So Innovative Orthodontic Centers in Naperville has launched an annual College Scholarship program - designed to help college students continue their education and innovate the future.
IOC invites high school seniors and recent graduates to apply who excel in academics and contribute positively to their community. The IOC scholarship program has three awards for current or recently-graduated high school seniors.
The three scholarships awarded are: first place, $2,000; second place, $1,000; and third place, $500.
The Innovative Orthodontic Centers Scholarship Program has three criteria for applicant consideration.
An applicant must: have received acceptance to an accredited U.S. college or university; and show proof of a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0-scale at the end of their senior year fall semester.
The applicant must submit a 500 to 1,000-word written essay answering all of the following questions:
• At Innovative Orthodontic Centers, innovation is at the core of what we do. How will you use your education to innovate for the future?
• Innovative Orthodontic Centers believes that a beautiful, healthy smile gives you the confidence that carries over into every aspect of your life, including school, work, hobbies and relationships. Do you agree or disagree with the above statement? Why/why not? How has your smile impacted your life?
• How have you made a positive impact within your community? What impact has this had on you?
Innovative Orthodontic Centers Scholarship Committee chooses scholarship recipients based on the above criteria, as well as participation in school and community activities. In the case of equally-qualified candidates, the IOC Scholarship Committee gives preference to current and past patients of Innovative Orthodontic Centers.
