Wheaton church to host 'Worship in the Park' Aug. 22

On Sunday, Aug. 22, Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will host a "Worship in the Park" at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to worship in the newly-renovated Memorial Park, 225 Karlskoga Ave. in Wheaton.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket or sit on one of the new seats in the park.

After the service, Gary United Methodist Church will provide light, easy-to-grab refreshments during time for fellowship.

On the other weekends in August, the church at 224 N. Main St. also hosts Summer Sundays, which includes worship at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary with "Popsicles in the Courtyard" following the service.

Worship in person, complete with Kids' Church, or worship online at garychurch.org.

Starting Sept. 12, the church will once again offer Sunday school for all ages at 10 a.m.
