Wayne Township to host Electronic Recycling event May 8

Wayne Township will hold an Electronic Recycle Event on Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at the township office, 27W031 North Ave. in Carol Stream.

They will be collecting a variety of electronic items, computers, laptops, monitors, printers, circuit boards, servers, modems, scanners, hard drives, LCDs, projectors, cables, wires, power supplies, keyboards, mice, televisions, stereos, VCRs, DVD players, power tools, small household appliances, gaming systems, cameras, exercise equipment, office phones, cell phones, microwaves, coffeemakers, metal, and more.

There are fees for certain items: TVs are $20 each; old tube CRT monitors are $10 each; microwaves, $5 each; and exercise equipment, $5 each.

They will be accepting cash or check only. Any checks should be made payable to Midwest Computer Recycling.

Everything else is free to recycle!
