Cary United Methodist Church welcomes new pastor

Cary United Methodist Church welcomes the Rev. Norval I. Brown and his wife, Andrea Lynette Brookins, to their community of faith.

He will serve as senior pastor leading his first service with Cary United Methodist on Sunday, July 5. Online worship is at 8:30 a.m. Norval's pastoral experience is as extensive as it is varied. He has served large parishes and small parishes; African-American, predominantly Anglo and multiracial; urban and suburban. He has served as a campus minister and an adjunct faculty member at Chicago Theological Seminary. They are the parents of four children and the proud grandparents of two grandchildren.

Cary UMC, a Safe Sanctuary congregation, is located at 500 N. First St.
