Lavelle Law Attorneys Host Free Informational 'Navigating Divorce' Seminar

Community members and professionals who have questions about family law issues such as child custody, child support, the collaborative divorce process, prenups or orders of protection are invited to an upcoming seminar with the family law attorneys at Lavelle Law. The Schaumburg-based law firm hosts bi-monthly free seminars through their Breakfast Briefs series, which covers a variety of legal topics that impact businesses and individuals.

The Navigating Divorce seminar on March 18 will be hosted by a panel of Lavelle Law family law attorneys, including Amil Alkass, Colleen Hurley, Kristina Alkass and Patti Levinson. The attorneys will discuss several critical issues surrounding a divorce, including protecting children, financial concerns, and emotional and physical safety. A detailed review of the process will be provided so that individuals can confidently choose the path that is best for each situation. In addition, professionals such as financial planners, realtors, family counselors and accountants who have clients dealing with divorce issues are also encouraged to attend.

"We feel this is an important edition of Breakfast Briefs because it will feature a panel of highly trained attorneys who have extensive experience in all aspects of family law," said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. "We hope it answers questions for those entering the divorce process or those who provide professional assistance to clients in a divorce scenario and helps them better understand the legal intricacies of family law."

The upcoming Navigating Divorce seminar will begin at 7:45 a.m. on March 18. Attendees will be able to meet the attorneys and a formal presentation will commence at 8:00. The seminar takes place at the Lavelle Law's Schaumburg office, located at 1933 North Meacham Road, Suite 127. Coffee and breakfast will be included at the free event. Registration is required as seating is limited.
