Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, which recently opened in Rosemont's entertainment district, is fully in the spirit of the season with its holiday drink specials. Now through Jan. 2, enjoy sippers such as Chicagoland's White Christmas Martini (an adults-only white chocolate milkshake in a martini glass with vanilla vodka, white chocolate liqueur, white crème de cacao and half-and-half with a sparkly sugared rim); White Chocolate Peppermint Martini (Godiva white chocolate liqueur, peppermint schnapps and vanilla vodka); and the Jingle Juice Holiday Punch (served in a 52-ounce schooner and made for five, the punch combines whipped vodka, sparkling rose, Cherry 7-Up and cranberries in a sugar-rimmed glass).

Feast of the Seven Fishes
Francesca's continues its holiday tradition of celebrating the Feast of the Seven Fishes by offering special dishes after 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, through Sunday, Dec. 29. Dine on creamy lobster bisque topped with crab meat and fresh herbs for $5 a cup or $8 a bowl; sauteed jumbo sea scallops and shrimp served over baby greens for $21; fettuccine with Maine lobster for $27; and zuppa di pesce (Italian fish stew with lobster meat, shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari and scallops in a spicy lobster-tomato broth) for $32.

Pennyville Station in Park Ridge recently introduced a new Happy Hour menu featuring $7 munchies and glasses of house wine from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Nosh on apps including pork pot stickers, sriracha cauliflower, panko mac 'n' cheese, mini fried chicken sliders, lemon basil hummus, garlic knots, short rib sliders and grilled herb-crusted wings. Plus, Pennyville Station recently added new seasonal dishes to its main menu. Try the Cajun shrimp starter served with a housemade honey mustard and cocktail sauce; smoked Duroc pork chop with housemade apple sauce and bacon and chive red potato mash; Snake River Farms Flank Steak; and ricotta tortellini with prosciutto and peas.

With the holidays upon us, now is the time to order a holiday ham or homemade pie from Whistle Stop Cafe in Fox Lake. Choose from pies such as Razzle Dazzle, banana cream, pumpkin, coconut cream, blueberry cobbler, dark chocolate salted caramel, old-fashioned cherry and strawberry rhubarb, to name a few. All orders should be placed by Sunday, Dec. 22. The cafe also serves breakfast and lunch from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, with homemade specials including the Whistle Stop Benedict, pot roast melt and club panini.
