GivingTuesday: Support the Arts with the Prairie Center Arts Foundation

The milestones of the holiday shopping season are Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. GivingTuesday is an opportunity to donate to an organization that enhances the community while encouraging others to do the same. This December 3rd, join the global movement and give to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation (PCAF).

Donations to the Foundation help fund programs such as Theatre Buddies & Arts Partners, outreach programs that provide access to the performing arts to people in need in our community. "The arts make memories," said Theresa Olvera, Executive Director of the PCAF. "A favorite song, a child's drawing, or that first live performance - many of our strongest memories are tied to these kinds of experiences. For people coping with extraordinary challenges, the arts can provide life-changing experiences that last forever. Your donation to the Prairie Center Arts Foundation can bring people to experience the arts who may otherwise never have such an opportunity."

Donations also help support the Young Artists Programs (Schaumburg Youth Orchestra, Schaumburg Youth Choir, Schaumburg Summer Theatre, Schaumburg Dance Ensemble and more), the season of arts and entertainment at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, and a recent PCAF initiative, the Young Artists Assistance Program, which provides tuition assistance for students in need to participate in the Young Artists Programs.

With the recent launch of a new PCAF website, generously created by Zadro Web, donations can now be made directly to specific programs. To learn more about the programs the Foundation supports, or to make a donation, visit www.pcafoundation.org or call (847) 923-3608.

The Prairie Center Arts Foundation (PCAF) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the growth and excellence of cultural arts in the community.
