ACFW-Chicago Invites Writers to Point of View Workshop

Writers of all skill levels are invited to participate in a point of view writing workshop from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Schaumburg Township Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Led by Tim Shoemaker, award-winning author of tween novels and adult non-fiction books, this writing workshop will take part during the monthly meeting of the American Christian Fiction Writers Chicago chapter (ACFW-Chicago) and is not affiliated with the library. Some of the author's books will be available for purchase and signing after the meeting.

Shoemaker, a nationwide speaker and author of 11 books, will help participants identify and fix common problems associated with point of view. Additionally, he will show writers how to use it as a tool to strengthen their writing during this high-energy presentation.

Writers of all genres are welcome to attend, and visitors may attend twice before deciding whether to join ACFW-Chicago. Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at the Schaumburg Library. Members participate in workshops, hear presentations from editors and award-winning authors and network with other writers. Topics highlight various aspects of writing, editing and getting published. Critique nights are held several times throughout the year.

Questions may be directed to ACFW-Chicago President Susan Miura at susan.miura@yahoo.com.
