Indian American Association ( IAA ) Celebrates India Independence Day

The Indian American Association ( IAA ) of Chicago has celebrated the 73rd India Independence Day at Steeple Hills Club House, in Hoffman Estates, IL.

The Chief Guest at the event was Mr. Jitendra Singh Bedi, a renown journalist, and the Guest of Honor was Ms. Vandana Jhingan, the TV Asia, Midwest Bureau Chief.

Ms. Mohita ,Emcee ,welcomed the audience on behalf of IAA.

The American and Indian National Anthems were sung followed by the Lamp Lighting Ceremony.

There were speeches by the IAA President and the invited guests.

Later, Dancers and Singers took over the stage and did an excellent job of entering the full house audience.

Mrs. Archana Mitta, Vice-President of IAA, made special arrangements for Dance Performance, and Mr. Ishaan Ahmed , Director IAA, arranged Sound System, Photography, Videography and Stage Setups.

Food arrangements by IAA were made possible with the cooperation of Sponsors and Mrs. Mitta.

This was a totally free event arranged by the IAA for the Indian American Community with the cooperation of its members and enthusiastic volunteers.
