Get in orders by May 6 for Spring Sustainability Sale

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is accepting order for its Spring Sustainability Sale through May 6. Order at conservemc.org/store/tlc-native-plants/.

All plants are provided by local partner Red Buffalo Nursery in Richmond, Illinois, and trees and shrubs are provided by Majestic Oaks Nursery in Spring Grove.

Plants are split into three categories with individual species chosen by our experts to encourage bloom throughout the season, as well as maximized benefits for local pollinators.

Plant order pickup will be May 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and May 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the TLC Office in the Hennen Conservation Area, 4622 Dean St. in Woodstock. Prices are based on a minimum order of 3 plugs per species

Many landscape design experts suggest planting in groups of 3, 5 or 7, with one foot spacing between plants. Water new plants for the first few weeks, and possibly longer if it is very dry.
