The production will feature seasoned actors from across Lake and McHenry counties. The show appeals to all ages and contains familiar numbers like "Beauty and the Beast," and "Be Our Guest," as well as new songs and production numbers sure to entertain audiences.

"Working with this cast and production staff has been a dream come true," says Billy Seger, artistic director. "The talent level is outstanding. There are so many life lessons packed into this two-hour musical but perhaps the most important one is that true beauty comes from within. You can't be happy with the outside world until you're happy with yourself. No matter what your circumstances, choose humanity."

"Disney's Beauty and the Beast" is adapted from the classic 1991 Disney film beloved by generations. The musical debuted in New York in 1994 and became Broadway's 10th longest running production in history.

It is the final musical to be produced by TownSquare Players, a community theater company established in 1967. Beginning with the 2019-2020 season, TownSquare Players will merge with the Woodstock Musical Theatre Company to form Theatre 21. For more information, visit www.townsquareplayers.org.
