Face N Time - Local Band Warms Up 2019

We survived the polar vortex, now let Face N Time warm you up! This year, new faces join this group of high-energy, talented musicians that have rocked local venues since 2005. Things start heating up on Saturday, February 9, at Dock's Bar and Grill in Wauconda - bring your Valentine for some sweetheart dancing.

Check out the new voices on center stage: Kat Johnson brings years of experience, including touring internationally with the Pink Floyd production, Think Floyd, as well as gracing the Illinois stages with the winter spectacular Trans Siberian Orchestra tribute, The Trans Infinity Orchestra. Along with her vocals, she plays acoustic 6 string, bass and is a classically trained violist. Kat's inspiration is literally all over the board from Megadeath to Dan Fogelberg. If you really want a peak into Kat's musical mind you need not look any further than Toy Matinees self titled album. Kat has a bachelor degree in IT, owns a highly successful pet-care company and is a hard core sci-fi buff. She may not be impressed that you know what the "T" in James T. Kirk stands for - that's amateur stuff...try asking her something more difficult!

Jeanne Jones Robert comes to us with a bold voice and a boatload of enthusiasm. She has been belting out popular classics all over greater Chicagoland for the better part of the last 20 years! Jeanne has lent her talent to a variety of local groups including Hit List and Gypsy Duet, plus accompanied local and Florida favorite Paul Allodi. Jeanne can't wait to get on stage and rock out with the new Face N Time!

Laith Alani has been bringing the melody on lead guitar since high school, strumming his way through a variety of bands including recording with Shadows of KNIGHT (1985-92), founding Dream record's Orphan Allies in 1982, and lead guitarist for Main Attraction, a corporate/wedding band out of Atlanta (2014-16). Laith is a 2018 addition to Face N Time family.

Michael Brown doesn't get hip hop…but will play any other music! After studying guitar in college, he has added his smooth voice and 6 string to various bands in churches and bars, drawing on his influences : Steely Dan, Phil Keaggey, Maurice White and James Taylor . Mike has been a Face N Time favorite front man since 2014.

On bass guitar, long-time Face N Time member James Wayman drives the rhythm. Having played with local bands since 1998, James has recorded and released two albums: HEALING SONGS (2008) under his own name and TIME SPENT (EP) (2010) under the name Three Finger Pour. James has also earned production credits for his work on three EP's for Chicago-area singer/songwriter Radstarr. Outside of music, James teaches at S.T.A.R. Winnebago, an alternative education program in Rockford that works in conjunction with local Regional Safe Schools to provide education and other services for young adults who have dropped out or have been referred by their home schools.

The foundation of it all…seated at the back of the band, setting the bass line for the whole shebang, manager Lindy Alo makes magic with two African hand drums, bass drum and high hat. He started playing at 9 years old, using coffee cans until he could purchase his first drum kit. In grade school, Lindy started his first band: the Crystal Spiders, then played with Bash in high school. During college, he joined the all original music band Bedlum. More recently, Lindy managed and played drums for The Magic Frank Blues Band and played with several great Blues artists throughout Chicagoland before founding Face N Time.

Face N Time continues to evolve their signature eclectic style with talented musicians that wow audiences throughout Chicagoland with a bottomless library of songs ranging through every genre imaginable. When they are "makin' the music", you are guaranteed to hear your favorites, old and new. Come dance with them! Check out facebook and give Face N Time a "like".
