Assisi Animal Foundation to celebrate 30th anniversay with dinner, auction Nov. 3

Nov. 3 marks the 30th anniversary of Assisi Animal Foundation "saving animals and serving people" in McHenry County as the first no-kill shelter built and opened in 1988.

Former and current volunteers, board members and friends will gather to celebrate, recall and look forward to a promising future of the Assisi Animal Foundation over cocktails, dinner, dancing, entertainment and bidding for a number of offerings to benefit shelter animals and operations.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Crystal Lake Country Club over cocktails (cash bar) meeting and mingling with old and new friends.

Bid on various auction offerings from dining, a fun "Wine Pull," entertainments, sports treasures, including an autographed football from Hall of Fame's Brian Urlacher, Chicago Blackhawk tickets, jewelry treasures from Estate Jewelers in Barrington, an exciting getaway, loads of gifts and more.

Woodstock Mayor Brian Sagar will lead the competitive bidding during a live auction. John DaCosse from WGN 720 will bring good humor to the evening with stories of his rescued pets while the Jazz DuJour Trio will have everyone dancing to end the evening.

Tickets are $75. Make your reservations by Tuesday, Oct. 30, for the event by calling (815) 455-9411. Tickets are not available at the door.
