Heartland Voices to celebrate women composers at April 20-22 concerts

Heartland Voices will celebrate women composers, lyricists and poets at the "She Writes the Songs" concerts on April 20-22 at three locations across the Fox Valley.

Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at First Congregational Church of Dundee, 900 S. Eighth St. in West Dundee; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 37W040 W. Highland Ave. in Elgin; and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 8 S. Lincoln St. in Batavia.

Tickets at the April 20-21 concerts are $18 or $15 for seniors and youth. It will be a freewill donation at the Batavia concert.

The community is invited to this spring concert. The Elgin-based choir consists of professional and professionally trained singers who are committed to excellence in choral music performance. Now in its 18th season, Heartland Voices continues to expand their repertoire and their love of music, while striving to set the highest standard for performance.
