It's Not Too Late to Join The Festival Chorus

Even though the first rehearsal for the May 6 Festival Chorus Spring Concert took place Jan. 8, there is still a seat waiting for you at the next rehearsal Monday, Jan. 22.

All that is required to become a member of The Festival Chorus is a desire to sing and a willingness to pay the necessary fees. The only audition is a brief voice placement. All singers are welcome.

The program for the Spring Concert, under the direction of conductor Greg Tipps, includes a variety of musical styles. It ranges from Gabrielle Faure's "Requiem" to "Over The Sea to Skye," a traditional Scottish folk song, to Irving Berlin's "God Bless America," plus six more numbers.

The chorus is accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists.

If you are interested in filling one of the empty seats for the remainder of weekly Monday rehearsals from 7:30-10 p.m., come to Harper College Jan. 22, Building P, Room P202.

For information, contact MaryAnn Bugiel at (847) 533-0107 or visit festivalchorus.org.
