Learn about Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers with Fox Valley DAR
The Fox River Valley Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the American Community Bank, 10101 Route 47 in Huntley.
The speaker will be George Haupt, Retired Army, Company E, 3rd U.S. Infantry (the Old Guard) will share his insights as he presents and speaks about his experiences as a tomb guard of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington Cemetery.
Tomb guards make up the second most exclusive military group in the U.S. Army.
Attendees are asked to bring food items for the Grafton Food Pantry.
