MCC's Education to Empowerment Scholarship Program to host its first fashion show Nov. 2
"Festive Fashions," McHenry County College's Education to Empowerment Scholarship Program's first fashion show, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake.
"Festive Fashions" is a fundraiser for the Education to Empowerment, also known as the E2E Scholarship program, which supports women pursuing educational success.
Several McHenry County boutiques have teamed up with Education to Empowerment to showcase fashions for the holiday and winter seasons.
In honor of McHenry County College celebrating its 50 years of education, fashion and design from 1967 will be brought back to life during the evening. Runway models are all scholarship recipients, members and donors.
E2E members commit to providing scholarship funds for women who are second-year students at MCC and then assists them in their first year at a four-year college or university.
A total $168,000 has been awarded to 21 women since 2013.
