MCC Second Sunday Concert Series season open with Chicago Brass Band Players

The Chicago Brass Band Players will open the McHenry County College Second Sunday Concert Series at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, in the Luecht Conference Center, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.

This specialized 10-member ensemble of Chicago Brass Band members will perform a variety of brass repertoire from a broad range of musical eras. The performance will feature sounds of the cornet, fluegelhorn, tenor horn, baritone horn, trombone, euphonium, bass and percussion.

The Second Sunday Concert Series features a variety of classical, jazz and folk musicians from the greater Chicago area, along with semiannual concerts featuring the MCC chorus, concert band, jazz ensemble and chamber groups.

Upcoming musicians include classical guitarist Brian Torosian Sunday, Nov. 12, the MCC Concert Band and Chorus Sunday, Nov. 19, and the MCC Jazz Concert Wednesday, Nov. 29.
