Baseball season! As an employee of the Chicago Cubs, I spend a good deal of time at Wrigley Field. This photo of the iconic ballpark was taken in the middle of summer, a few hours before game time. As I walked through an upper corridor, I came to face a TV camera ready to broadcast. The double view of the Friendly Confines caught my attention and I took a few quick photos. Recently, I spent some time manipulating this image: keeping the sharply focused view in the camera in full color and relegating the softly blurred field to black & white for contrast. Wrigley Field always looks great!

I took this picture at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley, California last April. This area was the floor of an ancient sea. When it dried up this area was flat. Earthquakes made it look like this.

I took this picture on a boy's road trip with my son and two grandsons to the Badlands and the Black Hills of South Dakota on March 31, 2017. After hiking up the Notch Trail to a Badlands overlook, we saw this Mountain Bluebird warning us of rattlesnakes.

I enjoy taking photos of all kinds of birds, but especially eagles. To date this is my favorite eagle photo. I love the regal pose of the bird, and the detail in the feathers. This photo was taken last year near the Mississippi River near Davenport Iowa.

They're back! Every spring a beautiful duck couple comes by for a visit. It's always exciting to see them for the first time.
