Santa's Village Azoosment Park kicks off 58th season May 13 with new Super Cyclone Coaster

Santa's Village Azoosment Park is set to open the official start of its 58th season on Saturday, May 13, with the new Super Cyclone Roller Coaster, a nearly four-story tall roller coaster, and appearances by Disney and Nickelodeon stars Corey Fogelmanis and Brec Bassinger for two live meet-and-greets, as well as updates all around the beloved kid-friendly attraction.

Voted one of 10 best family-friendly amusement parks in the country by Fodor's Travel, Santa's Village Azoosment Park is located in East Dundee, Ill., conveniently located between both Chicago and Rockford. Boasting something for everyone from thrill seekers to party goers to toddlers and tweens, Santa's Village continues the tradition by providing new additions and family-friendly fun.

"Ever since we reopened Santa's Village, this roller coaster is the addition we have be waiting for," said Jason Sierpien, owner. "Much like the riders, we are thrilled to offer the Super Cyclone attraction this year, along with special guest appearances over the summer." Guest appearance schedule includes:

• Come meet "Farkle," Corey Fogelmanis from Disney's "Girl Meets World," at Santa's Village from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24.

• "Bella," Brec Bassinger from Nickelodeon's "Bella & The Bulldogs," at Santa's Village from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22.

"With such an exciting lineup including the new Super Cyclone, 22 additional rides, more attractions, live entertainment, favorite foods and games, Santa's Village guarantees to dazzle and astound. Plus, a visit to the park wouldn't be complete without a full menagerie of amazing animals. We're ready for another memory making season," said Sierpien.

Manufactured by the famed Italian roller coaster company since 1926, Interpark - Pinfari, the Super Cyclone Roller Coaster stands 35 feet tall with a track length of 1,100 feet and a ride time of one minute and twenty seconds. Riders board on one of three, two-car trains seating eight passengers per train. The vibrant orange and galvanized steel structure and bright and colorful cars is the largest roller coaster in the park. It is visible from the intersection of Routes 25 and 72 in East Dundee.

Boasting affordable pricing, engaging rides and animal shows, as well as an extremely "walkable" layout, Santa's Village Azoosment Park remains a popular destination for family reunions, birthday parties or a fun day out with the kids and grandkids. The park features three themed areas: Santa's Village, Old MacDonald's Farm and the Country Grove. Guests can still enjoy much of the nostalgia of the original amusement park with some of the memorable rides and petting zoo, while also discovering new fun with a variety of animal-related activities and shows, designed to entertain and educate.

Beginning May 13, the park is open weekends through Memorial Day, then moves to full summer operation, on Monday, June 12 through Friday, Aug. 18, seven days a week.
