Sign up now for MCC Small Business Fair

McHenry County College seeks direct sales and franchise owners to exhibit at its inaugural Small Business Fair that will be 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

The Small Business Fair aims to introduce students and community members to direct sales companies or franchise owners to learn about becoming independent consultants. Also, anyone interested in becoming entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to speak with experts on how to start, market and operate a small business. In a professional exchange format, attendees can learn about small business operations, including accounting, business law, commercial banking, marketing, graphic arts and the Small Business Development Center.

The fair is free for attendees. Cost for exhibitors is $25 for McHenry County businesses who register by March 13. Registration will then open to all after that date and the fee will be $35. Companies will be represented by one distributor only.

The Small Business Fair is sponsored by the McHenry County College Business Department, the McHenry County College Career Services Department and the SBDC at the MCC Shah Center.
