Advocate Sherman offers 'After the Baby is Born' class

Advocate Sherman Hospital, 1425 N. Randall Road in Elgin, offers new mothers support at the "After the Baby is Born" workshop from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.

This class is part of the Empowered Pregnancy program, which seeks to empower women with the knowledge, relationships, and experiences to make their pregnancy and motherhood all they want and need it to be.

New moms can learn how to further prepare their home for their baby and how to choose the right physician. Also to be covered in this class: nutrition basics, fitness, baby development milestones, and environmentally friendly products for your family. Attendees are encouraged to bring someone from their support network.
