Glenbard District 87 thanks principals during National Principals Month

Glenbard District 87 sincerely appreciates its principals' and assistant principals' commitment to all students. These dedicated professionals ensure that every student receives a high quality education. In October, Glenbard District 87 celebrates their good work and considerable care for our students.

The U.S. Congress has declared October as National Principals Month. Gov. Bruce Rauner has proclaimed Oct. 16-22 as Principals Week and Friday, Oct. 21, as Principals Day in Illinois.

Principals Month recognizes the contribution of all school principals and assistant principals to the success of students in Illinois. Principals and assistant principals are educational visionaries, instructional leaders and community builders. They are entrusted with the education and development of young people. These educational leaders set the academic tone for their schools and collaborate with teachers to maintain high standards.
