Art auction to benefit animal shelter

Professional and emerging artists in the area and an artist from Uganda have submitted a total of 235 pieces of art on 6-inch by 6-inch canvasses for online auction at "Art for the Paws."

All canvasses will be displayed in Community Mosaic at reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Mixin Mingle, 124 Cass St., Woodstock Square.

Admission is $5 which includes light appetizers and cash bar. No one under age 16 will be admitted without being accompanied by adult. Guests will view the mosaic, talk with artists and have an opportunity to bid with their own device with Internet access or with one of several tablets provided.

Online auction at Art for the Paws 2016 goes live at 9 a.m. Friday, March 25, ends at 9 p.m. when reception ends. Starting bid is $25 with increments of $5. One hundred ninety-two canvasses are installed for public viewing at Woodstock Library, 414 W. Judd St., Woodstock, until Thursday, April 7. Remaining canvasses will be installed in the window of Mixin Mingle from Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 8.
