The McHenry County Historical Society joins in the third annual Vintage Shop Hop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 4, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5, a 200-plus stop shopping experience through northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Each year locally owned vintage businesses roll out the red carpet with specialty items and promotions. The museum store fills the bill, offering antique umbrellas, ephemera, linens, clothing, tableware, scrapbooks, furniture, glassware, china, picture frames, postcards and more for sale.

Plus, all modern museum store memorabilia, ranging from beer glasses to history books to apparel, will be marked down 10 percent during sale hours at the museum, 6422 Main St. in Union.

• Popular Grove: Vintage Antiques and Second Hand Rose
