Suburban gardens tie our home to the surrounding landscape, provide an outlet for artistic expression, are a source for natural beauty and offer refuge from a hectic and unpleasant world.

This presentation by horticulture educator Sonja Lallemand will introduce ideas on designing your landscape with Illinois native plants that nurture and feed wildlife and require minimal care.

The next program, "Don't Blame the Camera: How to Take Better Landscape Photos," is at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30.

Advance registration is needed. Call the McHenry County Extension office for more information at (815) 338-3737 or visit web.extension.illinois.edu/lm/.
