MCC bands and chorus to perform

McHenry County College will host two fall concerts - the MCC Jazz and Blues Concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, and a performance by the MCC Concert Band and Chorus at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23.

Both concerts will take place in the Luecht Conference Center, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

The MCC Jazz and Blues concert on Nov. 19 will feature the MCC Jazz Ensemble, directed by Michael Bazan.

The MCC Blues Band, directed by Michael Hillstrom, will make its debut appearance and includes professional musicians Dana Magruen on vocals, Hillstrom on keyboards and vocals, Robert Lush on guitar, John Nelson on trumpet, Steve Avallone on saxophone, Brian Tanner on trombone, Tom McNeely on bass, and Rick Brabeck on drums.

The MCC Band and Chorus Concert on Nov. 23 features student ensembles. Video clips from previous concerts can be viewed at www.youtube.com/musicmchenry.
