Paws In Time Pet Resort opens second location

Paws in Time Pet Resort, located on the borders of Batavia, Geneva and West Chicago, has just opened a second location in Oswego at the corner of Harvey Road and Treasure Drive.

The new 7,500-square-foot location also features nearly 12,000 square feet of outside play area covered in AstroTurf.

The new facility is set up for dog day care, boarding, grooming, training and offers shuttle service for client dog transportation.

Paws in Time has over 2,000 clients in its West Chicago location.

According to Paw in Time's owner, Julie Nelson, "Since our inception 12 years ago we've been growing steadily. Our open play policy has been key to our success. We have many clients who come to Paws in Time from the Oswego area so opening our second location there made a lot of sense. We wanted to bring the "play all day" experience closer to the Oswego area and this new location makes that possible."

Much like the West Chicago location, the Oswego Paws in Time will feature year round, all day play space, both indoors and out, and staff who have the responsibility to play with client dogs, plus boarding suites, spas and special kennels. Training is available now, conducted personally by owner Julie Nelson. Coming soon will be pools, tunnels and decks.

Paws in Time's West Chicago facility has 20,000 square feet of play space and employs more than 20 people.

"We are always looking for people to join our dog loving team," said Nelson. "And now we are staffing up for Oswego, too. We invite dog lovers to apply for positions with us."

"It's been quite a ride," Nelson explained. "Twelve years ago, everyone said I was crazy to start a dog day care. Now I'm being approached right and left to open more facilities based on our successful model. This won't be the last."
