Attend a community advocacy event this month

On Thursday, May 29, Advocates In Motion will present a community advocacy event, featuring guest speaker Kevin Casey, director of the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities.

It will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the third-floor community room at the Pioneer Center for Community Mental Health, 4100 Veterans Parkway, McHenry.

Watch a presentation by Advocates in Motion on self-advocacy themed "Project Independence." Then listen as Casey speaks on current topics.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the event. Refreshments will be available.
